With our colleagues over from New York & Copenhagen, we made many exciting announcements, including our new office location!
March 2019 saw our first ever half year event/conference which was a great success!
We made many announcements and handed out plenty of awards during the day. The event also presented the opportunity to invite our future graduates along, who are starting with CM in the Summer. It was a great way for them to meet the team and get a feel for the business before they graduate. We also welcomed our colleagues from New York and Copenhagen, as it’s always fun catching up with them!
To keep you in the loop, here’s a summary of our updates:
George Coe is a real CM Ambassador, living & breathing the company values and always going the extra mile. As a reward, we announced that we were sending to New York for a week to work from our Manhattan office. He was there last week and had an amazing time being shown around by Team NYC!
To reward consistency, we sent 4 of our consultants on a trip to Dublin! They were also there last week, where they spent some time on/in Temple Bar, did some whiskey tasting and cocktail making at the Jameson factory and generally enjoyed the ‘craic’ the city had to offer.
We announced that our periodic Top Biller incentive would take place in Barcelona this year! The Top Biller from each period wins a ticket, which will see them spend a long weekend in Barcelona together. Tapas + a greedy bunch = no fun allowed.
One of our proudest announcements was our Mental Health initiative and partnership with Jaimie Shires. We feel this is an amazing move for our team, which will provide so much valuable support, in and out of the office.
We launched and demoed two new features available to all our consultants; Cube 19 and LinkedIn Talent Insights. These are major investments which will help us improve efficiency, as well as giving our consultants even more tools to use to help them achieve their goals.
As our charity partnership with Thrive Youth Trust came to a close earlier this year, we needed to select a new partner. After a lengthily nomination process, two groups of consultants battled it out to pitch their nominated charities: Leeds Mind v Simon on The Streets. Both presentations were amazing, with Simon on The Streets winning the most votes from Team CM. We now aim to raise at least £10,000 for them over the next 12 months. As the following charities were nominated by our staff, Andy (our MD), decided to donate £100 to each one!
Finally, just the small announcement that our next office will be opened in Australia in 2020!!
After the event, we had some valuable social time in Leeds, sampling the new North Brewing Leeds City Tap Room (if you haven’t been there yet we’d highly recommend). We then moved onto many other venues across Leeds.
As we enter the second half of the year, revived and motivated, we look forward to welcoming our new team members and generally growing, breaking more records and making Charlton Morris an even better place to work!
